Sunstar QAIS® Clear Odour Remover and Disinfectant Spray / Refill is formulated with Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), which is a substance naturally found in our immune system. It is produced by our white blood cells to fight invading pathogens such as bacteria and viruses.

Studies have shown that HOCl is entirely safe for humans and animals when used at the correct pH and concentrations. It has also been tested and proven to be safe on skin, non-flammable and be able to kill common bacteria and parvovirus, while also working wonders in neutralising odour compounds such as ammonia (in urine), acetic acid (in sweat), skatole (in faeces) and methyl mercaptan (in rotten food), leaving no residue behind.

Sunstar QAIS® Clear Odour Remover and Disinfectant is actually odourless. When HOCl comes into contact with a surface, a chemical reaction between HOCl and ammonia in the environment or proteins found in germs forms chloramines. This chemical by-product has a mild smell similar to a swimming pool or bleach.
